Amigos Wānaka is looking for a Server to join our crew on a part time contract!

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Escort customers to their tables. 
  • Describe and recommend beverages to customers.
  • Check patrons' identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages.
  • Inform guests of daily specials.
  • Take orders from guests for food or beverages, using the handheld units tableside, or PoS screens as appropriate.
  • Answer guests questions knowledgeably.
  • Serve food or beverages, and clear away dishes.
  • Check with guests to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
  • Prepare itemised checks.
  • Collect payments from guests and ensure that payments are correct.
  • Clean tables or counters after guests have finished.
  • Prepare hot, cold, and mixed drinks.
  • Stock service areas with supplies of cutlery, napkins etc.

Server/Bartender Job Description:

  • Provide exceptional service to all customers consistent with the Amigos standard
  • Take care of customers all the way from greeting them to payment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise reporting to duty manager if need be
  • Maintain a clean environment both for guests and your team
  • If working on the bar the knowledge and ability to learn and make all the beverages we serve
