About the Role

We are seeking two compassionate Caregivers to join our team, delivering high-quality, person-centred care to residents living with dementia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting residents with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility, meals).
  • Monitoring and documenting residents’ health and behavioural changes.
  • Providing companionship and engaging in dementia-appropriate activities.
  • Supporting individual care plans and ensuring a safe, clean environment.
  • Working closely with nurses, healthcare professionals, and families.

Skills and Experience Required

Applicants must have either:

  • At least two years of full-time relevant caregiving experience (aged care, disability, or dementia support), OR
  • A relevant qualification at NZQA Level 4 or higher in health or aged care.

Additional requirements:

  • Empathy, patience, and strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of infection control, health & safety, and safe manual handling practices.

Hours and Pay

  • 30–40 hours per week (rostered shifts, including weekends and public holidays).
  • Pay range: $24.00 – $29.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
