Hotpot Duke is a leading Chinese restaurant offering hotpot and other Chinese dishes in Auckland. We now need a Restaurant Manager to help us provide top-quality service and food. This is a full-time job with guaranteed hours of 30 hours per week.
The job involves the following tasks and duties:
- Coordinating the overall operation of the restaurant.
- Ensuring the delivery of superior customer service.
- Taking reservations and orders, and arranging functions when needed.
- Receiving customer feedback and making necessary improvements to the operation of the restaurant.
- Converse a good understanding of handling problems to ensure smooth operation between the kitchen and restaurant.
- To promote our restaurant in the Asian & Chinese market.
- Planning menus and pricing
- Participating in the selection and training of new staff.
- Organizing staff rotation and supervising staff performance.
- Estimating consumption, controlling costs, and advising on making a budget.
- Managing stock levels and arranging supplies.
- Maintaining records of transactions.
- Maintaining a positive working environment.
- Ensuring compliance with licensing, hygiene, and health and safety legislation/guidelines.
To qualify for the job:
- At least three years of work experience is needed.
- A diploma or above qualification in management or hospitality can replace the work experience requirement.
- You may be required to work during weekends and late at night (1 am).
- Have a can-do attitude and be able to work under pressure since our restaurant is extremely busy during peak hours.
- You should also have good attention to detail to make sure everything goes through your hands are thoroughly clean.
