Hourly Rate or Salary Band: $30 – $35 per hour, depending on experience

 
Job Description:

Fei Yang Café Limited is seeking an experienced and driven Café Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy café located in Christchurch, open 7 days a week. This full-time role is ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about excellent service and operational efficiency.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Staff Management: Hire, train, roster, and supervise baristas and front-of-house staff
  • Operations Oversight: Ensure smooth daily operations, maintain hygiene standards, and comply with health and safety regulations
  • Inventory & Supplies: Manage stock levels, place supply orders, and liaise with vendors
  • Menu Development: Coordinate menu updates and maintain food and beverage quality standards
  • Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service, resolve customer issues, and build strong relationships with patrons
  • Financial Management: Monitor budgets, control costs, and optimise profitability
  • Marketing & Sales: Implement marketing initiatives and in-store promotions to boost sales

Job Pre-requisites:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant managerial experience AND/OR Diploma or higher relevant qualification
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and organisational skills
  • Proven ability to manage teams and deliver consistent high standards in a fast-paced setting
