Description: We’re seeking talented cooks full-time (Minimum 30 hours a week, maximum can be 40 hours) to join our kitchen team. Enjoy creating delicious dishes while working with a dynamic team.
*Prepare, cook, and present a variety of Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori items, street food, biryanis, kebabs, rolls, South Indian dishes, Indo-Chinese, and traditional breads.
*Develop and refine menu items to maintain authenticity while incorporating customer feedback and seasonal ingredients.
*Manage food preparation, cooking, and plating with attention to quality, flavor, and presentation.
*Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, including tandoor ovens, to ensure safety and efficiency.
*Monitor food stock, manage inventory, and minimize waste.
*Ensure the kitchen meets health, safety, and hygiene standards in terms of cleanliness at all times.
*Collaborate with the management team to create special dishes and seasonal menus.
Requirements:
Proven 2-3 years of relevant work experience specializing in Indian cuisine, including knowledge of spices, traditional cooking techniques, and recipes.- Ability to prepare a wide range of northern and south Indian dishes, including vegetarian, non-vegetarian, and regional specialties.
- Ability to prepare a wide range of the latest tandoori items and experience in maintaining tandoor ovens.
- Ability to prepare Indo-Chinese dishes. Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong knowledge of food cost management, portion control, and inventory management.
- Experience in menu planning and the ability to create high-margin, customer-centric dishes.
- Flexible to work in late evening shifts, weekends, holidays, and public holidays.
