Kitchen Hands – Full Time (2 Positions Available)
Location: Napier, Hawke’s Bay
We are currently seeking two reliable and motivated Kitchen Hands to join our busy beachfront café and restaurant in Ahuriri, Napier.
About the Role:
The Kitchen Hands will play an important part in supporting daily kitchen operations. Duties include assisting chefs with food preparation, cleaning, dishwashing, and ensuring the kitchen is maintained to a high standard of hygiene and organisation. These are hands-on roles in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assisting chefs and cooks with basic food preparation.
• Washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen and food preparation areas.
• Unpacking and storing supplies correctly.
• Assisting with waste management and stock rotation.
• Following health, safety, and food handling procedures at all times.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 months’ experience in the hospitality industry (café, restaurant, hotel or similar).
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
• Flexibility to work Night shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
