Busy accommodation complex, located in the heart of Mt Maunganui available for holiday accommodation. Looking for 2 experienced multitaskers to join as Housekeeper/Receptionist. Keen eye for detail & knack for providing excellent customer service required. This is a dual role & experience in both housekeeping & reception is essential. Hospitality industry works 24x7 all days of the year; the work would be on a rotating roster including weekends, public holidays & school holidays as per business demands.
Reception Duties
- Provide exceptional service to all guests & handle all inquiries with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Manage guest bookings, check-ins, and check-outs, including finalizing accounts.
- Answer & direct phone calls, distribute messages, & handle incoming and outgoing mail.
- Maintain& update office systems, ensuring records&documentation are accurate & current.
- Preparing banking,balancing cash&running daily, weekly & monthly reports.
- Complete data entry and filing, including using software like MYOB for accounts.
- Ensure the reception and office areas are clean and tidy at all times.
Housekeeping Duties
- Perform all cleaning duties to the highest standard, following the daily task list and cleaning roster.
- Maintain the cleanliness of guest rooms and other common areas of the property.
- Immediately report any damage, lost property, or maintenance issues to reception or management.
- Observe all Health and Safety processes
- Ensure correct maintenance and use of equipment and appropriate application of cleaning chemicals
- Assist the Head Housekeeper, Managers, or other staff members with any additional cleaning tasks as needed.
- Job may include unpleasant duties like cleaning up of bodily fluids, vomit, excrement of blood and other such matters
