Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee all day-to-day operations across the care home and retirement village
- People Leadership: Recruit, retain, coach, and inspire a team of 100 staff, creating a culture of performance, trust, and engagement.
- Resident Experience: Ensure seamless, person-centred care is consistently delivered, building strong relationships with residents and families.
- Financial Performance: Own the site’s budget, driving occupancy, sales, and profitability targets while monitoring performance against KPIs.
- Quality & Risk: Lead continuous quality improvement, compliance, and audit readiness, with a strong focus on health, safety, and clinical governance.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with regional management, local health providers, Te Whatu Ora, allied health teams, and community groups.
- Strategic Growth: Identify opportunities to enhance services, optimise processes, and contribute to the organisation’s customer-centric vision.
- Change Leadership: Drive transformational projects, embedding new ways of working that lift both staff engagement and resident outcomes.
- Proven experience in senior leadership (aged care, health, hospitality, or another complex service industry).
- Strong business and financial management skills, with experience in budgets, occupancy growth, and KPI delivery.
- Background in leading large, diverse teams through change and growth.
- Skilled communicator with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Tertiary qualification in business, health management, or related field is desirable.
- A natural relationship-builder with residents, staff, and the local community.
