We are looking for a creative Pastry Cook to join our team in Auckland. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a minimum of 30 hours per week, with the opportunity for additional hours if available. We offer competitive hourly wages ranging from $27 to $30, depending on experience and skills.

·        Prepare, bake, and decorate cakes, pastries, and baked goods to high standards

of quality and presentation.

·        Prepare Pastry fillings and decorating cakes and pastries with cream and icing

·        Develop and test new recipes to expand the menu, including gluten-free, sugar-

free, and vegan options.

·        Bake authentic South Indian snacks with consistency and flavour.

·        Ensure adherence to hygiene and food safety standards at all times.

·        Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the baking station and equipment.

·        Manage baking schedules for fresh daily production.

·        Monitor inventory levels and assist in stock ordering and rotation.

·        Support and train junior staff in baking operations as needed.

·        Keep up to date with industry trends and implement innovations into the product

range.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 to 3 years of relevant experience, including baking pastries, cakes, and South Indian snacks. A strong knowledge of baking techniques, food safety, and nutrition is essential. The ability to cater to special dietary needs—such as gluten-free, sugar-free, and vegan recipes.
