We've been BUZZ to find an experienced Bar Manager, to assist with the launching a brand-new bar in the heart of the city. The venue has been exceptionally designed, a stylish, modern space where cocktails are king. The focus is on delivering exceptional service, elevated drinks, and an experience that keeps people coming back. This isn’t your average bar gig. We’re building something slick, exciting, and different — and we’re looking for a Bar Manager who’s ready to lead from the front and set the tone from day one. As Bar Manager, you’ll be the heartbeat of the operation. You’ll lead, inspire, and grow a tight-knit team of bartenders and floor staff, ensuring that every guest has an unforgettable experience. You’ll have a strong hand in developing the cocktail program, driving service standards, and helping shape the identity of one of the city’s most exciting new venues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit, train, and manage bar team members
  • Develop and execute a standout cocktail and drinks menu
  • Ensure consistently high standards of service, speed, and presentation
  • Manage stock levels, supplier relationships, and cost controls
  • Maintain licensing, hygiene, and health & safety compliance
  • Drive revenue through service excellence, innovation, and upselling
  • Represent the venue professionally, both in-house and online
  • Work closely with owners on brand development and promotional strategies
About You
  • Proven experience in a high-volume cocktail bar or premium venue
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills
  • Deep knowledge of spirits, cocktails, and current bar trends
  • Passion for service and guest experience
  • Cool under pressure, organised, and solutions-focused
  • Strong business acumen with an eye for detail
  • Ready to hustle and excited to grow with a brand from the ground up
  • Current LCQ & General Managers License essential 
A starting salary of $85,000 + benefits and a chance to move into full venue management in the future.

As this venue is brand new, local knowledge and contacts within the Auckland hospitality industry are essential. No Sponsorship or VOC will be considered.
