- At least a year of work experience relevant and similar to the role of Cook (No qualification required) or,
- At least NZQF Level 4 certificate relevant and similar to the course of cookery (No work experience required) or,
- At least some work experience relevant and similar to the role of Cook with a bachelor degree of any kind
Duty and Responsibility for the position of the COOK
- Checking ingredients and stock level
- Seasoning dishes during cooking
- Portioning food and presenting it with appropriate gravies, sauces, and garnishes
- Storing food safely in temperature-controlled facilities
- Inspecting food supplies to ensure quality and freshness
- Preparing and cooking food to a high standard.
