Motel Manager
Location: Northland
Employment type: Full time and Permanent (guaranteed 40 hours / per week)
Our pay: $27-$35 per hour
We are now looking for a Motel Manager to join in our team and lead our team members. The ideal candidate should be self-driven and enthusiastic for this job.
Skills and experience needed:
- Ideal candidates should have at least 1 year‘s relevant work experience in hotel/motel/tourism management, or hold a relevant diploma or equivalent qualifications/certificates in hospitality, tourism, or management.
Job duties & Responsibilities:
· Manage and maintain effective communication within the team to ensure the reservation, reception and room service and housekeeping activities are processed smoothly
· Promote guest satisfaction in an effort to obtain repeat business:
· Manage all guest complaints and ensure required parties take corrective action
· Respond to all Guest Feedback
· Promote and maintain positive image for the property
· Manage and oversee all the business-related financial transactions and accounts, prepare relevant paperwork for administrative purpose
· Purchase and order stock and daily supplies according to budget, and set prices according to the market rate if requires
· Manage staff rosters, prepare and confirm staff timesheets for payroll and PAYE, supervise staff performance
· Recruit and hire new staff members according to business needs, provide trainings
· Arrange frequent security checks, supervise the property to ensure staff and customer safety, and ensure common and front office areas meet sanitation and cleanliness and maintenance standards
· Supervise Receptionist and provide support in any problem areas
· Engage the team to deliver the best service in all interactions with guest, customers, etc
· Ensure the business compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
· Promote add-on services to guests including food and beverage and tour sales
