Café Jerusalem is seeking an experienced and motivated Restaurant Manager to join our team. We specialise in authentic Israeli cuisine, offering fresh, flavoursome dishes in a welcoming and vibrant setting. Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with chefs to develop and refine menus.
  • Plan, manage, and oversee special events.
  • Monitor purchasing and maintain cost control within budget.
  • Keep accurate records of stock, inventory, and financial transactions.
  • Ensure the dining area meets strict health and safety standards and is clean, well-presented, and welcoming.
  • Engage with customers to ensure high levels of satisfaction with food and service.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise kitchen and front-of-house staff.
  • Manage reservations, welcome guests, and assist with order-taking as required.

About You:

  • A diploma in management (or related field), or at least 2 years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree in any discipline will also be considered.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and customer service skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food safety, workplace health, and hygiene.
  • Professional, proactive, and customer-focused attitude.

Applicants for this position must be NZ citizens/residents or have a valid NZ work visa. The applicant is fit to work. An MOJ & drug check may be required.
