This is a hands-on position, responsible for ensuring the home, gardens, and property are maintained and presented to the highest possible standard. Discretion, trustworthiness, and genuine pride in your work are essential — this is a role for those who love to create and maintain a beautiful, functional, and welcoming environment. As Private Residences Managers, you’ll oversee the daily running of the property — managing maintenance, gardens, and household operations — while also handling all aspects of daily meals, housekeeping, and administration.

The position suits a capable and self-sufficient couple who can work autonomously when the family are overseas for extended periods, while also being professional, warm, and discreet when they’re in residence. 

Key Responsibilities Maintenance & Property Care
  • Oversee pool, spa, and property contractors
  • Manage annual servicing schedules for heating, air-conditioning, and safety systems
  • Arrange external treatments, pest control, and window cleaning
  • Coordinate tradespeople for household repairs and vehicle servicing
  • Maintain lawns, gardens, and vegetable beds
Daily Meals, Housekeeping & Presentation
  • Prepare daily meals 6 days a week
  • Carry out all daily and deep cleaning duties
  • Manage linen changes, laundry, and dry-cleaning
  • Handle rubbish, recycling, and general household organisation
  • Compile grocery lists, shop for household items, and prepare daily meals
  • Set tables and assist with meal service when required
Administration & Coordination
  • Manage household budgets and payments to contractors and suppliers
  • Maintain household manuals and contact lists
  • Order consumables, toiletries, and home supplies online
  • Monitor mail, deliveries, and general correspondence
About You
  • Experienced couple with a background in private households, luxury lodges, or estate management
  • Highly organised, proactive, and hands-on
  • Discreet and respectful of privacy at all times
  • Practical, self-reliant, and trustworthy
  • Have full drivers license
  • Clean MOJ
The Package
  • Three-bedroom home provided, including power and internet
  • Southern Cross medical insurance included
  • Competitive remuneration package tailored to experience
  • Approximately 56 hours per week combined

Please note this role is only open to NZ citizens / Residents. The accommodation is suitable for a family however no pets are allowed. 

Starts date is early 2026 with a 1 month hand over of the incumbents.
