As the Director of Food and Beverage at Park Hyatt Auckland, you will lead the F&B operations across the cafe, restaurants, bars, in-room dining, banquets, and events. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving financial performance, and cultivating a high-performing team that reflects the Park Hyatt brand.

Director of F&B responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

            Demonstrate a proactive and strategic approach to food and beverage operations, aligned with the Park Hyatt brand.

            Maximize outlet performance and guest satisfaction through innovative service and culinary excellence.

            Lead and inspire a team of oulet managers, and service professionals to deliver world-class hospitality.

            Manage relationships with key vendors, suppliers, and partners to ensure quality and cost efficiency.

            Oversee purchasing, inventory, and cost control for food, beverage, and service ware.

            Collaborate with the Director of Sales & Marketing to align F&B offerings with market demand and business goals.

            Plan and execute high-profile events, activations, and seasonal promotions.

            Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.

            Foster a culture of learning, accountability, and recognition within the F&B team.

            Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards across all outlets.

            Champion guest feedback and service metrics to continuously improve the guest experience.

 

Qualifications

The successful candidate will need to have:

            Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Director of F&B within a luxury hotel environment.

            Previous international experience in a 5-Star property preferred.

            Strong understanding of Food and Beverage operations, cost control, and financial planning.

            Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.

            Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.

            Proficiency in F&B systems such as POS, Envision, Birchstreet, and Micros.

            A passion for culinary innovation and guest-centric service.

            Ability to build strong relationships with guests, colleagues, and stakeholders.

            A self-starter who is highly driven, solutions-oriented, and detail-focused.
