Glory Seeds Limited is a growing local café in the heart of Takapuna, focused on great coffee, friendly service, and a relaxed community vibe.

About the role

We’re looking for a skilled Barista to produce consistently high-quality espresso beverages and help deliver a smooth, welcoming customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare espresso beverages (lattes, cappuccinos, flat whites, long blacks), teas and other non-alcoholic drinks to recipe and standard
• Select, grind and dose coffee; calibrate grinders; maintain extraction quality during service
• Texture milk to correct temperature and microfoam; present drinks to standard
• Operate POS/EFTPOS, take orders, process payments and issue receipts accurately
• Prepare and present light snacks/cabinet items; follow our Food Control Plan (temperature logs, allergen management, FIFO)
• Clean and maintain espresso machines, grinders and coffee-making areas 
• Replenish beans, milk and consumables; keep fridges/shelves stocked
• Support opening/closing routines and work collaboratively with the team

Key Attributes Required:

• At least 24 months’ café barista experience
• Solid practical skills in espresso, milk texturing and grinder calibration
• Ability to work quickly and calmly during busy periods while keeping quality consistent
• Clear communication, reliable attendance and professional presentation
• POS/EFTPOS competency and basic numeracy

Our cafe is in Takapuna, Auckland. Working hours are 30 hours per week from Wednesday to Sunday. The rate is $25.50-27 per hour based on skill.

The applicant should either be an NZ Resident or hold a valid work visa.
