Job Title: Restaurant Manager
Location: Nelson, Nelson–Tasman Region
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time (Minimum 30 hours per week)
Pay Rate: $28–$35 per hour (depending on experience and skills)

About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Restaurant Manager (2 postions) to oversee the daily operations of our busy Indian restaurant in the Nelson–Tasman region. The ideal candidate will be passionate about hospitality, capable of leading a diverse team, and committed to ensuring exceptional customer service and efficient restaurant operations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan menus in consultation with chefs, ensuring authenticity and quality in all dishes
• Organise and manage special functions, catering, and event bookings
• Arrange the purchasing and pricing of goods in line with budget and quality standards
• Maintain records of stock levels, daily sales, and financial transactions
• Ensure the restaurant complies with all food safety and health regulations
• Supervise and support kitchen and front-of-house staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management
• Handle customer inquiries and feedback to maintain high satisfaction levels
• Manage cash registers, daily reconciliations, and overall financial operations of the business
• Create staff rosters and ensure adequate coverage during peak hours
• Maintain a clean, welcoming, and well-organised dining environment

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will:
• Have at least two years of relevant experience or hold a relevant Diploma or higher qualification in hospitality or restaurant management, or
• Possess strong leadership and team management skills
• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure effectively
• Demonstrate excellent problem-solving and organisational skills
• Have a keen eye for detail and a proactive, hands-on approach
• Display a positive attitude and strong customer service orientation
