The Seoul Roastery Limited, trading as Seoul Roastery 1946, is a Takapuna-based restaurant in Auckland that specialises in fusion cuisine, combining the authentic flavours and style of Korean dishes with modern Western culinary techniques. We are currently seeking three reliable cooks to join our dynamic team and contribute to our growing kitchen operation.

You will be expected to work in our Kitchen in Takapuna, a minimum of 30 hours per week with shifts variable from 7am to 10pm. Please note this is a permanent full-time role and the hourly pay rate would be $27.00-$31.00 based on candidates' experience and skills.

Job Description for This Position

•      Prepare and cook a variety of fusion dishes that blend Korean and Western flavours.

•      Wash, cut, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes and menu requirements.

•      Regulate temperatures of steamers, grills, ovens, and other cooking equipment.

•      Season, taste, and adjust food during preparation to maintain flavour balance and presentation standards.

•      Portion and plate dishes attractively, adding sauces, gravies, and garnishes as required.

•      Prepare meals to meet specific dietary needs and customer requests.

•      Store ingredients and prepared food in appropriate temperature-controlled areas to ensure freshness and safety.

•      Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, including food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils.

•      Follow all food safety and workplace health regulations.

Key Requirements for Successful Applicants:

•      Must have at least one year’s work experience in cookery.

•      Having experience in Korean cuisine is preferred.

•      Relevant qualification or certificate is an advantage.

•      Punctual and reliable with a positive can-do attitude will be key in this role.

•      A positive and willing attitude to learn and progress.
