The Seoul Roastery Limited, trading as Seoul Roastery 1946, is a Takapuna-based restaurant in Auckland that specialises in fusion cuisine, combining the authentic flavours and style of Korean dishes with modern Western culinary techniques. We are currently seeking one restaurant manager to join our dynamic team and contribute to our growing restaurant operation.
You will be expected to work in our restaurant located in Takapuna, a minimum of 30 hours per week with shifts variable from 7am to 10pm. Please note this is a permanent full-time role and the hourly pay rate would be $30.00-$35.00 based on candidates' experience and skills.
Job Description for This Position
• Plan and design menus in consultation with chefs, ensuring a balance between authentic Korean tastes and contemporary Western presentation.
• Manage the procurement and pricing of ingredients, beverages, and supplies in line with budget targets and cost-control policies.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory, supplier transactions, and daily financial operations.
• Ensure that all dining and kitchen areas comply with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations, maintaining a clean and visually appealing environment.
• Engage with customers to assess their dining experience and promptly address feedback to maintain a high level of satisfaction.
• Recruit, train, and supervise front-of-house and kitchen staff, fostering a professional and collaborative team culture.
• Monitor staff performance, prepare rosters, and ensure efficient service delivery during peak hours.
• Organise and coordinate special dining events, seasonal promotions, and functions to enhance customer engagement and sales performance.
• Collaborate with director to support promotional campaigns and brand development initiatives for Seoul Roastery 1946.
• Oversee reservation management and, when necessary, greet guests and assist with seating and service coordination.
Key Requirements for Successful Applicants:
• Must have at least two years of work experience in organising and managing operations within cafés, restaurants, or similar hospitality establishments.
• Proficiency in Korean is preferred, as the majority of our staff communicate in Korean. Native-level Korean language skills would be a distinct advantage.
• Relevant qualification or certificate is an advantage.
• Punctual and reliable with a positive can-do attitude will be key in this role.
