Lead with heart, inspire with purpose.
If you’re a compassionate Clinical Manager who leads by example and values excellence, connection, and dignity in care, this role is for you.
Clinical Manager | Aged Care
Wellington
Full-time | Permanent | Tuesday–Saturday
Up to $130k per annum PLUS Excellent benefits
If you’re the kind of clinical manager who walks the floor, knows every resident by name, and believes great care starts with a great culture — this role will speak to your heart.
I am recruiting for my client who are a respected aged-care provider to find an exceptional Clinical Manager to guide and empower the clinical and care teams within a warm, well-established community.
Reporting to the Village Manager and supported by an Assistant Clinical Manager, you’ll provide both strategic direction and practical leadership to ensure every resident receives the highest standard of personalised care.
This is a hands-on role — one where you’ll balance governance and empathy, policy and people, evidence-based practice and human connection.
And the good news? You don’t need to reinvent the wheel. This care centre has been beautifully maintained, its clinical team is experienced, stable, and well-supported, and the systems are strong. You’ll step into a team that functions well — your role is to lead, mentor, and elevate.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Champion gerontological best practice, ensuring consistent delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care
- Lead, mentor, and inspire your clinical and caregiving team through coaching, development, and genuine recognition
- Maintain audit readiness and ensure all documentation meets compliance and standards
- Build trusted relationships with residents and families through open, proactive communication
- Monitor and optimise clinical budgets, rosters, and occupancy, ensuring resourcing aligns with resident needs
- Collaborate closely with the Village Manager to drive quality improvement initiatives and ensure smooth operational performance
- Role-model the organisation’s values daily — listening from the heart, putting people first, and making every day better
Work pattern: Tuesday to Saturday, with shared on-call responsibilities.
Candidates must be prepared to participate in the on-call roster and be comfortable commuting despite traffic, with flexibility for earlier or later start times as needed.
The ideal person is steady, professional, warm, and approachable, a leader who empowers rather than instructs, and who finds deep fulfilment in helping others grow.
At the heart of your leadership lies compassion: every clinical decision starts with what’s best for the resident.
