Cube Bakery is a locally owned Asian-style bakery located in central Wellington. We are looking for an experienced and reliable Cake Baker to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and bake a variety of Asian-style cakes and pastries, including sponge cakes, chiffon cakes, cream cakes, and roll cakes.
  • Mix ingredients and monitor baking processes to ensure consistent quality.
  • Decorate cakes and maintain high presentation standards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, following food hygiene regulations.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering baking ingredients and supplies.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Minimum 2 years of proven work experience as a baker or pastry chef (Asian-style preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of cake-making and decoration techniques.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet production deadlines.
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Must be able to work on Saturday when required.
