We are looking for a hardworking candidate for the role of Restaurant Manager in
Christchurch. It is a full-time permanent role with a minimum guaranteed 30 hours of work per
week, and we are looking for someone whom we can rely on.
The candidate must be able to work but not limited to:
Must hold LCQ and Manager’s License to manage a high-performing team
Run smooth operations of the restaurant. Juggling great service, training and
rostering your team, planning for future growth, is all in a day’s work
Must be able to plan the menus to be served in the restaurant in consultation with
the chefs.
Organize events and functions, make proper plans and arrangements for the
gathering
Manage purchases and pricing with the suppliers and carefully prepare a budget
for optimal profit
Maintain accurate records of stock levels
Manage financial transactions of the restaurants and maintain good record-
keeping
Having discussions with the customers to assess if the customers are satisfied
with the meals and services provided
Value customer feedback and develop strategies for continuous improvements
Assuring that the dining facilities meet the health and safety regulations
Ensure that everything is clean, functional and of suitable/presentable
appearance.
Select and train the waiting and kitchen staff along with supervising the staff.
May be required to take the reservations/bookings.
Must greet the guests and assist them in taking orders when required.

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Demonstrate leadership in managing staff groups and major events
Excellent interpersonal skills with the willingness to be a team player
Commitment to get the job done
Minimum Level 5 qualification OR two years of relevant work experience
The successful candidate must have a clean driving and criminal record.
