Freaky St Heliers Ltd are currently looking for 2 Cook positions to join our team in Auckland Region, New Zealand.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
• Preparing and cooking food
• Follow and comply with the Food Control Plan and all
relevant food safety standards
• Marinating meats and cooking them for extended
periods to achieve required flavour and tenderness
• Preparing sauces in store
• Competent in professional knife skills, including accurate
cutting, slicing and chopping of ingredients
• Seasoning food during cooking
• Examining foodstuffs to ensure quality
• Regulating temperatures of fryers, grills and other
cooking equipment
• Portioning food, placing it on plates and adding gravies,
sauces and garnishes
• Storing food in temperature controlled facilities
• Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
• May Plan menu and estimate food requirements
• May Train other kitchen staff
• Keep workplace and equipment clean and tidy according
to maintenance schedule
• Take up any other reasonable job responsibility if
requested by the Manager/Director.Candidate Requirements:-
• Be Honest and Reliable
• Ability to work on Weekends and rostered shifts
• Be punctual
• Be Drug free
• Clean Criminal History
• Must be clean and tidy
• Ability to commute to work with reliable travel as the
business operates 7 days a week.
Experience or Qualification:-
• Relevant level 4 qualification OR Relevant industry
work experience of Minimum 1 Year is required.
Hours and Position:-
• These are full time permanent positions with minimum 30
hours +per week.
Pay Rate:-
• $25 to $30 per hour
