Store Manager – Turkish Kebabs (Queenstown)

Turkish Kebabs is one of the busiest takeaway restaurants in Queenstown. We are open 7 days a week, from 10:00 am until 5:00 am the following day, also serving late-night customers. Our restaurant can seat around 20 dine-in patrons, in addition to offering takeaway and delivery services.

We are currently looking for a Store Manager to organize and coordinate all administrative and operational duties in our restaurant. Minimum of 30h/week guaranteed.


Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will report directly to the restaurant owners and will be responsible for:

  1. Ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the restaurant, including managing reservations and following up on UberEATS and Delivereasy orders.
  2. Preparing budgets and liaising with suppliers to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained. Maintaining records and documentation for accounting purposes.
  3. Ensuring the restaurant complies with all health and safety regulations and maintains a clean, functional, and professional appearance while upholding service standards.
  4. Engaging with customers to assess satisfaction with products and services.
  5. Managing marketing activities and social media accounts.
  6. Developing and implementing advertising and promotional strategies to enhance customer loyalty.
  7. Overseeing staff rostering and managing leave applications and approvals.

Requirements

The applicant:

  1. Should have at least 1 year of full-time experience in a similar position, or
  2. Should hold a relevant qualification (Level 5 or higher).
  3. Must be able to work on weekends and late night shifts (the store operates 7 days a week, 10:00 am – 5.00 am next day).
  4. Must have good knowledge of MS Office programs.
  5. Must demonstrate excellent communication, presentation, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
