Diamond Takeaway (Remuera) Ltd, based in Auckland, is currently seeking cooks to join our team. You will work in Auckland. This is a permanent position, with a guaranteed minimum of 30 working hours per week.

Job description

  • Inspecting food items to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Monitoring and adjusting the temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking appliances
  • Preparing and cooking various dishes
  • Adding seasoning and flavoring to food during preparation
  • Dividing food into portions, arranging it on plates, and applying sauces, gravies, and garnishes
  • Storing food properly in temperature-controlled environments
  • Preparing meals according to specific dietary needs
  • Possibly assisting in menu planning and estimating food supply requirements
  • Possibly providing training to kitchen staff and apprentices
  • Cooks, seasons, and prepares meals in restaurants, cafeterias, or catering settings
  • Performs other reasonable duties as assigned by the employer

  • Location: Auckland
  • Job type: Full-time
  • Pay rate: 25.00 – 30.00 New Zealand dollars per hour
  • Days required: shift rotation from Monday to Sunday
  • Hours per week: At least 30

Job Requirement

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience or a relevant NZ level 4 qualification or an equivalent overseas qualification is required.
