About the Role
We are a well-established Italian restaurant in Auckland seeking an enthusiastic and
experienced chef to join their friendly kitchen team. You’ll help with daily kitchen
operations and ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality, freshly prepared Italian and
Mediterranean-style dishes.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and organize a designated section of the kitchen.
Collaborate with Head Chef with menu planning, estimating food and labour cost
Maintain quality, consistency, and cost control through recipe adherence.
Train and mentor kitchen staff.
Manage staff rosters and uphold kitchen morale.
Conduct dish quality checks before service.
Ensure food safety, hygiene, and health & safety compliance.
Maintain and order stock efficiently.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff for smooth service
 
Requirements
Min 3 years of relevant experience or relevant Level 4 qualification
Familiarity with Italian/Mediterranean cuisine.
Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen.
Physically fit and reliable.
Positive, team-oriented attitude.
Commitment to safety and cleanliness.
