🥢 About the Role
Wongkok Cafe & Bar is seeking a reliable and experienced Chinese Cuisine Cook to join our busy kitchen team. This position involves evening and late-night shifts, reflecting our extended opening hours, and requires the ability to consistently prepare authentic Chinese dishes to a high standard.
🧑🍳 Key Responsibilities

Preparing and cooking a range of Chinese dishes, including stir-fries and clay pot meals

Ensuring meals meet presentation, portion, and quality standards

Maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen workspace at all times

Supporting the head chef during busy periods

Monitoring stock levels and ensuring correct food storage
📋 What We’re Looking For

Minimum two years’ full-time experience as a cook specialising in Chinese cuisine OR holds Chinese Certificate of Occupational Skill Level 3, in traditional cuisine.

Confident working with woks, high-heat cooking, and multiple dish preparation

Available to work rostered shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays

Sound understanding of food safety and hygiene practices

Able to work well under pressure in a physically demanding environment
