Turkuaz Cafe is an authentic Turkish restaurant in Kamoa. We are open 6 days a week from 11 am to 9 pm (Mondays closed). We have a capacity around 60 seating patrons, takeaways and deliveries on top of that. We are looking for a restaurant manager to organise and coordinate all the administrative duties in our restaurant. This is a permanent full time (min 30h/w) job.

The applicant needs to perform the following tasks and will report back to the owners of the restaurant:

  1. You will be responsible for the smooth running of the business in the restaurant, planning and organising special functions, taking reservations, following up online orders and communication with the service providers such as Delivereasy and all other stakeholders.

  2. Budgeting and working with suppliers to ensure adequate levels of stock are maintained. Keeping documentation and records as needed for the preparation of accounts. 

  3. ensuring the cafe complies with health regulations and is clean, functional and of suitable appearance and maintaining service standards

  4. conferring with customers to assess their satisfaction with products and service

  5. marketing and social media management

  6. developing and implementing advertising and promotions to improve customer loyalty

  7. Having oversight and control over the staff roster system - timesheets and leave applications. Confirming and managing staff leave requests.

The applicant 

  1. should have at least 1 year of full-time working experience in a similar position or 

  2. should have a relevant qualification, Level 5 or higher  

  3. must be able to work on weekends and evenings, the store is open 6 days

  4. may be required to work evenings to complete tasks

  5. must have knowledge of MS-Office programs

  6. must have good communication and presentation skills, as well as organisational and problem-solving skills
