- Setting up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- Checking ingredients to make sure the quality and freshness
- Preparing and Cooking food in various utensils and grillers
- Seasoning, portioning, adding sauces to the food during/after cooking
- Preparing food to meet client’s taste and dietary needs
- Arrange food on plates or wrap it to be taken away
- Storing and reserving food
- Assisting in planning menus, estimating food and labour costs
- Cleaning and restocking workstations and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift.
- Checking the cleanliness of equipment and operation of machines before each run, to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Assisting with training and coordinating with junior cooks or kitchen hands, as requested by Chef
To be successful you will need to:
- Have at least 2 years’ work experience in the same industry/field, OR
- Have a relevant level 4 qualification or equivalent certificates.
- Have a "can-do" attitude and team Spirit
- Excellent organization and time-management skills
