Vani’s Kitchen is seeking an experienced, dynamic, customer-focused team member with a minimum of 2 years’ hospitality & bartending experience, confidently handling both Front of House service and bar operations. This hybrid role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, creates memorable guest experiences, and transitions seamlessly between bartending and floor service. Key Responsibilities

  • Greet, seat, and engage guests to create a warm, welcoming dining environment.

  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and deliver dishes professionally.

  • Prepare and serve drinks, including cocktails, mocktails, spirits, and specialty beverages.

  • Maintain bar cleanliness, stock rotation, and beverage presentation standards.

  • Coordinate with kitchen and FOH teams to ensure smooth, efficient service.

  • Manage bookings, walk-ins, and waitlists while maintaining excellent guest flow.

  • Handle customer questions, feedback, and special requests with care and confidence.


Job Duties

  • Set up and pack down both bar and dining areas, including opening and closing procedures.

  • Manage POS operations, process payments, split bills, and reconcile transactions when required.

  • Ensure stock levels, garnishes, glassware, and bar tools are maintained throughout service.

  • Prepare service stations, table settings, cutlery, condiments, and takeaway packaging.

  • Support takeaway, Uber Eats, and DoorDash orders with efficiency and accuracy.

  • Maintain hygiene standards across bar and dining areas, ensuring compliance with RSA and food safety protocols.

  • Assist in creating a premium ambience through clean presentation, guest attention, and high-level service.

Must Have - NZ drivers license, flexible with hours, late nights some days, valid work visa.
