We are looking for 2x Front of House to join our Indian restaurant in Christchurch.

We guarantee a minimum of 30 hours per week with competitive rates between $23.50-$29p/h depending on your skills. You will be managing the operation of the store during your shift and will provide excellent customer service. You will be working as per roster hence flexibility is important in this role.

 

Tasks Include:

-Greeting and welcoming visitors

-Perform the tasks of taking order and maximizing sales opportunities through knowledge of product and suggestive selling.

-Ensure accuracy by repeating the order(s) to the guests.

-Ensure that dockets are written clearly and correctly so the cashier and kitchen can fulfil their duties effectively

-Deliver the orders promptly to the kitchen production area

-Check ordered meals on collection from kitchen and deliver to guests promptly to maintain temperature and appearance.

-Maintaining the reception area, and Keep tables, service areas clean and tidy as per procedure manual

-Maintain hygienic food service techniques during service.

-Answering inquiries and providing information on the menu

-Receiving and resolving complaints from clients and the public

Essential skills and attributes required:

-At least 1 years’ experience in a fast-paced restaurant or a minimum of level 2 qualification in cookery or hospitality, or other relevant areas

-Personal pride in presentation and professionalism

-Willingness to learn and be upward moving is essential

-Naturally enjoys being around people and contributing to a positive work environment

-Efficient, accurate and strong appreciation for following systems

-Consistent performance no matter the pressure from guests, team and outside influences

-Must be available to work weekends and holidays
