About Us:

Carlton Gore Cafe, operated by D&K INTERNATIONAL LIMITED, is an Auckland-based cafe known for providing quality food and baked goods to our local community. We pride ourselves on using fresh ingredients and maintaining high standards across all aspects of our kitchen operations. Due to business growth, we are seeking two skilled and reliable Bakers to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing, producing, and baking a range of breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked products

  • Measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients according to recipes and production requirements

  • Operating and maintaining bakery equipment such as ovens and mixers

  • Monitoring proofing and baking processes to ensure consistent quality, taste, and presentation

  • Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards

  • Managing stock levels, rotating ingredients, and minimizing waste

  • Working closely with the kitchen and cafe team to ensure timely supply of baked goods

  • Assisting with the development or improvement of bakery products when required

 

Skills and Experience Required:

  • A minimum relevant qualification at NZCQF leve 4 OR

  • At least 2 years' relevant experience in baking industry or in a similar role.

  • Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations

  • Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays

  • Strong time management skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
