In this position, in addition to general office administration work, you will be required to
assist the Licensed Immigration Advisors in preparing applications. As an Immigration
Assistant you will be responsible for assisting with applications, researching, drafting
submission and appeals and any other work delegated.
This position requires prior experience as we need someone to “hit the ground
running”. The position is based in our Hamilton office. No work from home available.
We require someone with a minimum of 1 year of industry experience and good
understanding of INZ immigration processes. Having previously worked with INZ online
system and EzyMigrate customer management system is preferred.
Pay range will be $28 to $35 per hour depending on your prior experience. This is a full-
time position working a minimum of 30 hours per week.
Job Description.
General office duties, including answering phones, responding to email and
general enquiries from clients.
You will be required to oversee all aspects of the Visa and Immigration Service,
ensuring that the process runs smoothly.
You may oversee the completion of all relevant visa and immigration documents
and ensure that they are received within the time limit set by the government
for final review by a Licensed Immigration Adviser.
You will be required to ensure that all of the information provided by the client is
accurate and correct, preparing and checking all legal documents, drafting and
researching appropriate submissions for final review by a Licensed Immigration
Adviser.
You will be required to maintain strong working relationships with all clients and
colleagues and our external networks.
You will be required to take responsibility of all Immigration issues and
operations, remaining up to date with any changes to legislation – within the
scope of your role.
You will work closely with the Director/Senior LIA in structuring and scheduling
client meetings, taking notes during meetings etc.
As a Licensed Immigration firm, we must adhered to the Licensed Immigration
Advisers Code of Conduct 2014.

Previous relevant experience in a similar role of at least 1 year
