We're now looking for a motivated and committed Hygiene Manager to lead our operations and uphold our high standards.


Position: Hygiene Manager
Location: Auckland
Employment Type: Full-Time (Minimum 30 hours/week)
Pay Rate: $31.00 – $34.00 per hour


Availability: Rostered shifts including weekends, night shifts, public holidays, split and floating shifts.


Candidate must be compulsorily available for Weekends.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • You will be managing the site by providing contingency, mentoring and coaching the commercial cleaners and technicians, and providing supervision and direction to employees.
  • Effectively manage & maintain key stakeholder relationships, service delivery, staff development, financial performance, contract performance, and continuous improvement of service delivery, organisational procedures, and employees.
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
  • Ensure compliance and quality assurance for daily operating protocol, quality control procedures, site health and safety compliance, personal hygiene requirements, housekeeping, and internal practices.
  • Leading by example and driving continuous improvement.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
  • Ensuring company policies and procedures are implemented.
  • Looking after the company and client property and equipment.
  • Controlling documentation and reporting of correct and accurate data.
  • You will also participate in daily cleaning verification checks to ensure the quality outcomes are achieved. Complying with the Quality Management System.
  • Monitor inventory levels through stock ordering and daily and spot inventory checks, assuring the staff make correct receiving and stocking. Identify current and future customer requirements and maintain the Inventory accordingly
  • Negotiating with the vendors for the Pricing of the product in the best interests of the business, to attract more business and improve profitability. Coordinate with suppliers for Inventory regularly.
  • Developing effective marketing strategies to ensure business profitability.
  • Prepare and control the monthly budget, aiming for minimum expenditure and efficiency.
  • Being accountable for the profitability of the business
  • Coordinate and negotiate with B2B & B2C clients to get maximum business profitability.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients and take regular feedback about services provided.
  • Listen to client feedback/complaints and ensure they are actioned accordingly.
  • Perform all other related duties and responsibilities as apparent or as assigned.
  • Manage Staff roster, training, provide clear, constructive feedback and support to every team member and recruitment if required, cover and respond to urgent staffing gaps
  • Deliver supplies and equipment to sites (vehicle provided)
  • Monitor financial and contract performance while driving continuous improvement.

Skills and Experience required:

  • Minimum 2-3 Years of relevant experience required to work as a manager.
    However, a Diploma level of Qualificaton can substitute the relevant work Experience requirement. As detailed training will be provided to the Selected Candidates.
  • Should know how to operate cleaning equipment’s such as Floor scrubbing and buffing, Floor stripping and polish, Carpet cleaning, Steam cleaning and others.
  • Need to be mature and handle responsibilities during shifts for the business and staff independently
  • Ability to work in a Multicultural Environment. Possess motivational and leadership skills.
  • Team player and ability to work competently under pressure.
  • Must be able to work across any shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Must have a Valid Driving license in New Zealand or an equivalent overseas driving license to drive a Car in New Zealand
  • Must be a fit, quick thinker, reliable, trustworthy, and self-motivated.
  • Able to lift weights up to 25kg.
  • Must be able to pass random drug test
  • Must have an eye to detail.
  • Must have No Serious Criminal Conviction
