MAHI GROUP NZ LIMITED recently purchased the Pizza Hut Glenfield
Wairau store under the globally recognised Pizza Hut franchise. We
urgently require staff. We are a New Zealand–owned company focused on
operational excellence, quality food, and outstanding customer
experiences.
We currently have two full-time permanent positions available.
Pay Rate: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour (based on experience)
Reports to: Store Manager
About the Role
The Shift Manager supports the Store Manager by running shifts
efficiently, supervising staff, maintaining product quality, and ensuring
excellent customer service. This is a hands-on role suited to candidates
who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Inventory and Stock Management:
Inspect ingredient levels, identify shortages, and report to the Store
Manager.
Place accurate orders to maintain optimum stock levels and ensure
proper stock rotation.
Check weekly deliveries for accuracy and arrange credits for any
shortages.
Quality Assurance and Standards:
Maintain product and service quality in line with Pizza Hut brand
standards, including food delivery standards.
Assist the Store Manager in ensuring compliance with food safety,
health & safety, and brand requirements to meet internal audit
standards.
Customer Service:
Ensure customer service standards are met by responding to
customer enquiries and resolving complaints effectively.
Team Supervision and Training:
Train, evaluate, and manage staff performance during allocated
shifts.
Address staff issues and maintain a positive and productive team
environment.
Operational Management:
Handle daily cash reconciliations and oversee opening and closing
procedures during shifts.
Coordinate equipment repairs and maintenance when required.
Promotions and Sales:
Actively promote in-store offers, advertisements, and promotional
campaigns to customers.
Hands-On Support:
Prepare food items alongside store staff, including dough
preparation, pizza making, and cutting.
Serve customers, process transactions, and assist with delivery
tasks when required.
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum 6 months of work experience in a retail or hospitality
environment.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, public holidays, and on-call
when required.
Good communication and basic computer skills.
Willingness to undergo drug, alcohol, and Ministry of Justice checks.
Full Driver Licence required
Prior food-handling experience is advantageous.
