We’re looking for an experienced and motivated bar manager to lead our bar team and deliver an outstanding guest experience. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who loves hospitality, leads by example, and knows how to run a smooth, profitable bar.

 

Location:31 Courtenay Place, Wellington

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day bar operations

  • Lead, train, and motivate bar staff

  • Ensure excellent customer service at all times

  • Manage stock, ordering, and supplier relationships

  • Create and maintain drinks menus and specials

  • Ensure compliance with NZ liquor licensing laws

  • Roster management and cost control

  • Handle customer feedback professionally

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Bar Manager or Senior Bartender

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Solid knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits

  • Current LCQ and/or Duty Manager Certificate 

  • Understanding of Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act

  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holiday
