Restaurant Supervisor – Auckland CBD

Bao Baby Bao is seeking an experienced and motivated Restaurant Supervisor to support daily operations in our busy Asian fusion restaurant. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, delivers excellent customer service, and supports team development. You will assist with staff supervision, service standards, and operational efficiency while contributing to a positive, welcoming dining experience for all guests.

Job Description

  • Supervise front-of-house operations during service to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations.

  • Lead, support, and motivate FOH team members to deliver excellent customer service.

  • Assist with staff training, onboarding, and on-the-job coaching.

  • Ensure service standards, cleanliness, and presentation are consistently maintained.

  • Handle customer enquiries and complaints professionally and effectively.

  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food service.

  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and basic reporting.

  • Support rostering and daily task allocation as directed by management.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager or Director.

Qualification & Experience Required

  • Previous experience in a hospitality or management environment is preferred.

  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience is an advantage but not essential.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • A positive attitude, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility.
