An opportunity has arisen for an energetic and friendly person to join our team at Aarish Krishna Limited, to assist with the day-to-day operation of our on-site kitchen and our Busy Restaurant. The Restaurant is located in Tauranga, Bay of Plenty.

We have a full-time position in our Company. Minimum of 1 year of Experience Required; On-site training will be provided. We have full-time job Positions Available for 2  chef Positions and 1 Kitchen Hand, Minimum experience required.

The Responsibilities of the positions are cited below.

Chef Position.

An hourly rate of $32 will be paid for this position. A minimum of 32 hours will be granted per contract.

  • To undertake menu planning with the team.
  • Determine the quantities to be cooked and the portion sizes to be served.
  • Ensuring that adequate stocks of food are maintained (fresh, frozen, and dried).
  • Allocate and oversee the work of the junior kitchen staff team, including cleaning schedules.
  •  Ensuring that the food expenditure is kept within budget.
  • To understand responsibilities in relation to fire procedures, health and safety, food hygiene, and emergency aid.
  •  Ensuring food is produced to a high standard as per Restaurant quality and council Standards. 

Kitchen Hand 

An hourly rate of $30 will be paid for this position. A minimum of 32 hours will be granted per contract. Experience will be prioritized for this position.

  • Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans by hand or using a dishwasher. 
     
  • Clean and sanitize all kitchen surfaces, equipment, and appliances, including floors, ovens, and ranges. 
     
  • Remove and dispose of trash and recycling.
  • Receive, unload, and put away deliveries of food and other supplies.
    • Work under the chefs, performing basic food preparation tasks as instructed.
       
    • Wash, peel, and chop vegetables and other ingredients.

  • Applicants Must Have 

    • You must be available to work during nights, on weekends, and on public holidays.
    •  Due to the nature of our client’s businesses, you must also pass a drug test and have a clear criminal record (if required).
    • Driver’s license required.
    • Applicants must be physically fit as needed to operate different cleaning Machines.
    • Must have a New Zealand Residence or a New Zealand Working visa.
