Responsibilities:
- Control day-to-day shop operations to ensure smooth business functioning
- Manage staff schedule and monitor staff attendance and performance
- Conduct staff selection, recruitment, and interviews for new hires
- Ensure high-quality customer service and resolve customer concerns
- Oversee shop cleanliness, presentation, and overall ambiance, ensuring all facilities and work areas are maintained in proper order
- Oversee shop financial performance, including budgeting, sales, and expense management
- Monitor and restock supplies, equipment, and inventory levels
- Develop and implement marketing activities, including promotions and customer engagement initiatives
Qualifications:
To be eligible for selection, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Business Management or a closely related field. The role requires strong leadership and organisational capabilities, with the ability to manage daily operations, coordinate staff, and oversee business performance.
Candidates should demonstrate excellent customer service skills, effective communication, sound decision-making, and the ability to work independently. Flexibility to work on weekends and public holidays is required. This role requires travel between two store locations within Christchurch, and the ability to do so as needed is essential.
