We are looking for a proactive and dedicated Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the Restaurant Manager in leading day-to-day front-of-house operations. Key Responsibilities
Operations & Service

Support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily FOH operations.

Supervise service flow during busy shifts to ensure seamless guest experiences.

Assist with opening and closing procedures, cash-up, and end-of-day reporting.

Maintain restaurant cleanliness, table setup standards, lighting, music, and ambiance.
Guest Experience

Greet and engage with guests to build rapport and ensure satisfaction.

Address complaints or service issues professionally and promptly.

Staff Leadership

Help manage, train, and motivate FOH team members.

Conduct pre-shift briefings and support ongoing staff development.

Lead by example in maintaining high service and professionalism.
Administrative & Financial Support

Assist with staff scheduling and rostering.

Manage POS operations, cash handling, and reporting.

Support ordering, stock checks, and inventory control.
Marketing & Promotions

Support the execution of promotions, events, and daily specials.

Ensure smooth coordination for catering, group bookings, and loyalty program initiatives.

Maintain consistent presentation of menus, signage, and customer communication.

Qualifications & Experience

At least 1–2 years of supervisory or assistant management experience in hospitality.

Experience in Indian cuisine or culturally diverse restaurants is advantageous.

Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic administration.

Valid NZ work visa or residency.

LCQ and Manager’s Certificate preferred (or ability to obtain).
