JC AND SONS INVESTMENTS LIMITED is a growing hospitality business committed to delivering high-quality food, excellent customer service, and a welcoming dining experience. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Restaurant Duty Manager to join our team and support the daily operations of our restaurant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant during assigned shifts

  • Supervise, train, and coordinate staff to ensure efficient and professional service

  • Monitor customer service standards and handle customer enquiries or complaints effectively

  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health & safety regulations

  • Assist with staff rostering, performance monitoring, and on-the-job training

  • Manage stock levels, place orders, and control costs to minimise waste

  • Support senior management in implementing operational policies and procedures

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised dining environment

Skills and Experience

  • At least 2 years of work experience in restaurant or hospitality management  OR;

  • A minimum relevant NZCQF level 4 qualification, no specific major required if the candidate holds a bachelor's degree or higher. 
  • Strong leadership and team management skills

  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities

  • Good organisational and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

  • Sound knowledge of food safety and hospitality industry standards
