St Lukes Medical Centre is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Aid to join our team. This role is vital in supporting our nursing and medical staff by delivering high-quality personal care to patients, maintaining a safe and hygienic environment, and assisting with daily healthcare tasks. Pay: $27 to $34
Key Responsibilities

Provide personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.

Assist patients with mobility, including safe transfers and repositioning.

Support patients with meals, feeding, and hydration as per care plans.

Monitor and report any changes in patient condition to nursing staff.

Assist with basic health procedures, such as taking vital signs under supervision.

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of patient areas and equipment.

Offer emotional support and companionship, ensuring patient dignity and comfort.

Adhere to workplace health, safety, and infection control protocols.

Complete basic documentation and record-keeping related to patient care.
Qualifications and Experience

Certificate 3 in Health Services Assistance, Aged Care, or equivalent New Zealand-recognised qualification. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.

Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in aged care, hospital, or similar healthcare settings.

Experience in personal care, mobility assistance, and working under supervision of registered nurses.

Familiarity with healthcare documentation, reporting procedures, and basic vital signs monitoring.
