We are seeking Front of House Supervisor (x1) to join our busy team in Hamilton. This is a full-time role (minimum of 30 hours a week).

The Role

Day-to-day work may include, but not be limited to:

  • Take customer orders and serve food and beverages in line with café standards

  • Operate POS systems and process customer payments

  • Prepare tables and maintain cleanliness of front-of-house areas

  • Provide courteous and efficient customer service and respond to enquiries

  • Support smooth service flow by coordinating with kitchen staff during service

  • Assist new staff with on-the-job guidance/training during shifts

  • Help organise daily service duties under the direction of the Café Manager

  • Report service issues or customer complaints to the Café Manager

  • Follow and promote workplace health and safety and food hygiene practices

 

Our successful applicants will have:

  • At least 1 year’s relevant work experience or a NZQF level 2 or higher relevant qualification

  • NZ relevant work experience is preferable 

  • Works well under pressure 

  • Likes a fast pace life 

  • A good level of physical fitness

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a professional team

  • Highly responsible and reliable

  • Accept flexible working hours – rostered shifts

  • Able to work at weekends and public holidays

  • Great people skills both with fellow workmates and customers

  • Honest, trustworthy & well presented
