We are looking for a qualified lifeguard attendant to join our team based in Lake Tekapo, Canterbury.

This is a full-time permanent role with guaranteed 30 hours per week.

The role is to ensure every visitor receives a friendly, positive, safe and professional experience.

You need to focus on ensuring the safety and well-being of all guests using our pool facilities, including assistance with large groups, preventing accidents and emergency response.

You are also required to ensure workplace health and safety, as well as regularly checking the equipment with high standards of maintenance.

The key accountabilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively supervise pool environment to minimise hazards, accidents and incidents from occuring
  • Meet all national lifeguarding standards and follow our company service standards
  • Demonsrate the ability to identity guests who are in violation of pool rules and respons approriately
  • General pool operation duties to ensure health and safety.
  • Customer servie and other duties as required during our peak hours/seasons.

To be qualified for this role, you must demonstrate:

  • At least 2-year experience in hospitality industry, preferably with lifeguarding experience
  • Lifeguarding certificate or qualification
  • First Aid Certificate required
  • Self motivated and driven when unsupervised
  • Organised and reliable
  • Calm under pressure
  • Team player
