Pay rate :30.00 to 32 per hour.

Full time minimum 30 hours per week

We are looking for an energetic and customer focused Events & Catering Manager to join our team.

Applicant for this role must have full- time availability, willing to work mid-mornings, late evenings and occasional weekends & will be able to manage the events and outdoor catering for the restaurant.

Tasks and responsibilities:

· You will promote, plan and organise special events and functions for the restaurant

· Promoting, organising, arranging and coordinating corporate conferences/events, outdoor catering, social events, for clients.

· Developing and implementing strategies to promote corporate conferences and outdoor catering services to as many people as possible

· Coordinate menu planning, and beverage development in consultation with chefs for the events.

· Communicate with internal and external stakeholders via email, telephone and verbal processes with professional integrity.

· You will be responsible for budgeting the conference, events and outdoor catering within the budgeted expectation.

· Meeting with corporate / individual clients to discuss their needs and outlining package options to meet their expectations

· Negotiating the type and costs of services/ events to be provided within budget

 

PREREQUISITES:

· Enthusiastic and positive attitude

· Exceptional communication skills

· Strong customer service skills

· A relevant qualification at NZQF Diploma or higher OR 2 years of relevant work experience.

· Loves to contribute in a team environment

· Must have flexibility on working weekends.

· Full driving licence required
