Cooks wanted

Work Location:  Auckland

Employment type: Full time (guaranteed 40 hours / per week, Monday to Sunday on rostering hours), Permanent

Our pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour depending on skills

To enhance our team, we are now looking for 1 cook to join our team. We are expecting someone who has a passion for food, attention to details, ability to multi task and be a proactive member of the team.

Ideal candidates should have at least
1 year of relevant work experience at commercial kitchen, or same filed or industry

OR

a relevant level 4 qualification in cookery or equivalent certificates.

You are required to:

Setting up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment

Checking ingredients to make sure the quality and freshness

Preparing and Cooking various dishes, fillings, sources in various equipment, utensils and grillers

Measure and combine ingredients and raw materials using hands/hand tools and other equipment for traditional foods

Seasoning, portioning, adding sauces to the food during/after cooking

Preparing food to meet client’s taste and dietary needs

Arrange food on plates or wrap it to be taken away

Storing and reserving food

Assisting in planning menus, estimating food and labour costs

Cleaning and restocking workstations and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift.

Checking the cleanliness of equipment and operation of machines before each run, to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Assisting with training and coordinating with other staff such as kitchen hands if needed

The cook can do wok dishes as we cooks around 10 dishes everyday

Realiable and can be multitask.
