We are seeking a skilled and experienced Indian Cook to join our hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking authentic Indian cuisine while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and workplace safety.

Job Responsibilities:

·       Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas for cleanliness, safety, and functionality

·       Check the freshness, quality, and storage of food and ingredients to ensure food safety compliance

·       Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes in accordance with the approved menu and recipes

·       Prepare and cook authentic Indian dishes in line with customer and business requirements

·       Portion, arrange, and garnish food to the required presentation standard

·       Estimate food requirements and organise food preparation based on daily operational needs

·       Assist with menu planning and development of new dishes as required

·       Keep a sanitised and orderly kitchen environment in accordance with food safety and sanitation guidelines

·       Ensure all food, ingredients, and supplies are stored correctly and at appropriate temperatures

·       Ensure meals are prepared and served consistently in line with quality and service standards

·       Comply with workplace health and safety policies and procedures at all times

·       Follow cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures

·       Any other duties reasonably required by the employer that are consistent with the position

Requirements for the job:

·       Must at least 2 years of relevant work experience as an Indian Cook

·       Knowledge of traditional Indian cooking techniques and spices

·       Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen

·       Able to work during weekend and public holiday

·       Good time management and teamwork skills
