Bal Boys Limited is a busy takeaway outlet specialising in freshly prepared fast-food meals. Due to the operational demands of the business and ongoing growth, we are seeking an experienced Store Manager to take full responsibility for the day-to-day management, performance, and compliance of the store.

This is a fulltime role with a minimum of 30 hours gauranteed 

KEY DUTIES

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the takeaway outlet to ensure smooth and efficient service.

  • Monitor store performance, sales targets, labour costs, and food costs to ensure profitability.

  • Develop and implement operational procedures specific to fast-food service, including peak-hour workflows and service standards.

  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, health and hygiene standards, and local council requirements.

  • Recruit, train, roster, supervise, and manage kitchen and front-of-house staff.

  • Allocate duties to staff and ensure appropriate staffing levels during peak and non-peak trading hours.

  • Monitor staff performance, provide coaching and performance feedback, and address disciplinary matters when required.

  • Ensure staff are trained in customer service, food handling, and workplace health and safety procedures.

  • Manage ordering, receiving, and storage of food ingredients, packaging, and cleaning supplies.

  • Monitor stock levels, minimise wastage, and conduct regular stocktakes.

  • Liaise with suppliers and negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and supply continuity.

  • Control budgets, monitor expenses, and review daily takings and financial reports.

  • Maintain accurate records of sales, wages, stock usage, and operational costs.

  • Assist with pricing strategies and promotional activities to maximise sales and customer retention.

  • Ensure a high standard of customer service is consistently delivered.

  • Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner.

  • Monitor food quality, presentation, portion control, and service speed to meet brand and customer expectations.

  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, including wage, break, and leave entitlements.

  • Implement and monitor workplace health and safety procedures.

  • Ensure all food preparation and storage complies with food safety and hygiene standards.


Skills and Experience Required

  • Proven experience in a retail, fast-food, or a hospitality management role is required.

  • A relvant diploma qualification or any bachlors qualification may substitute the work experience requirement for this role.
  • Strong leadership and staff management skills.

  • Sound understanding of food safety, health and safety, and employment obligations.

  • Ability to manage budgets, rosters, stock, and operational reporting.

  • Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
