Some of the Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Restaurant Manager in ensuring that your outlet operates successfully and in accordance with brand standards.
  • Works closely with the other Outlet Managers in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of guests.
  • Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships. Handles guest inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner and reports guest complaints or problems to supervisors if there is no immediate solution and assure follow up with guests. 
  • To have full working knowledge and capability to supervise, correct and demonstrate all duties and tasks in the assigned place of work to the set standards. 
  • Assists in on-boarding and training new team members
  • Assists to maximize the effectiveness of employees by developing each of their skills and abilities through the appropriate training, coaching and/or mentoring.
  • Assist with cost control of payroll and expenses.

What you need:

  • 3 years experience as a  Senior Waiter/ Team Leader in a similar formal dining venue or 2 year experience as an assistant manager
  • 5 Star hotel experience the must
  • Strong knowledge of wines and other beverages 
  • Prevouse Bar/ Mixologist experience is preferable
  • Strong food and beverage service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • NZ citizen/resident or working visa
