Nockie’s Palette (NZ) Ltd is seeking a Cellar Door Manager to plan, organise, direct,  control, and coordinate the day-to-day operations of its Queenstown cellar door. 

Reporting to the General Manager, the role is responsible for managing staff,  overseeing customer service delivery, controlling stock and sales processes, and  ensuring the cellar door operates in accordance with company standards, health  and safety requirements, and brand objectives. 

This role will include, but not limited to: 

• Plan, manage, and oversee daily cellar door operations, including opening and  closing procedures, banking, and site security 

• Supervise, train, and schedule cellar door staff; maintain staff training and  performance records 

• Ensure a high standard of customer service, including hosting wine tastings  and managing customer enquiries and complaints 

• Manage stock inventory, ordering, pricing, and display of products

• Monitor sales transactions and ensure accurate processing of payments and  bookings 

• Implement operational procedures to ensure compliance with health and  safety policies and relevant legislation 

• Promote the company’s wines and brand to visitors and local businesses as  required 

• any other tasks assigned by the manager

• Pay rate: $24.00 per hour 

• Days required: 5-6 days/week 

• Hours per week: at least 30, maximum 55 hours/week 

The successful applicant must have the following: 

• Relevant Five years relevant hospitality and/or cellar door work experience  AND relevant Master or above qualification is required 

• Strong customer service, communication, and organisational skills

• Ability to plan and prioritise work in a busy visitor-focused environment

• Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and rostered shifts 

Preferred (but not essential): 

• Holding a current driver’s licence 

• Ability to speak a second language
